Coinbase Gives Support to a Creative Crypto Startup Called Anima

Anima, which is also known as the platform of augmented reality and NFT, has received support from Coinbase. Now, here NFT’s mean non-fungible tokens, an iteration of digital assets generally found in the blockchain. If you have been following the news for augmented reality blockchain in the present year, not much of a reference will be required for you. It has been an eventful year for AR and NFTs, but several other facets need to be looked at than what meets the eye. People have started to give serious consideration to the use of digital assets and what practical things can be achieved with them. The debates are happening more frequently, and we need to seriously ponder over the fact of what the future holds for digital goods.

Anima’s Endeavors

Now, a piece of breaking news has alluded to the fact that Anima has received full support from Coinbase. Now, if you haven’t heard about Anima before, it is imperative to give you a little premise. The company is a subsidiary of a larger company named Flipboard after a deal signed in 2014 made the acquisition possible. The startup enterprise was initiated by the same developers who had built Ultravisual (an application dedicated to photos and videos). Whatever is the case, the enterprise has directed its focus on augmented reality technology. The startup primarily aims to alter how NFT craft and collectible items are shared and viewed by users on the internet. The new effort has been made to aid a large community of artists and allow them to announce themselves on a large digital platform. It also might be a way for the company to test the waters and see out what the future of NFT’s would appear once the concept of AR (augmented reality) enters the foray.

The startup has managed to assemble a budget that can be handy, however small it might sound. Anima, along with the help of its partner, has generated a pre-seed amount close to $500 for their AR and NFT venture. The partners of Anima include Flamingo DAO, Andrew Unger, Lyle Owerko, Coinbase Ventures, and Divergence Ventures.

The co-founder of Anima, Alex Herrity, has also made a statement about the recent development he expounded about NFTs. He said that there had been a paradigm shift in which people talk about NFTs. Before, all the talks were merely speculations and theories; however, now, people have started to see what kind of practical returns they can get from NFTs. Herrity sees it as a positive move from his organization’s point of view as they always strive to make things more accessible and approachable.

The long-term dream of Anima is to contribute to making digital things (or “objects”) interact with the physical world. And, speaking of that, it is also good to keep in mind that the main concern and priority of the AR industry has always been this very thing. Nonetheless, the researchers involved with augmented reality are playing the waiting game nowadays. They are eagerly waiting for what Facebook and Apple have to show for with their AR-based products.
